May 12, 2019 · I use 0.2 micron spawn bags (specifically Unicorn 3T 8"X5"X19"). Each bag will receive ~3.5 quarts of substrate. Use whatever method you prefer for prepping bags. I have done them every which way and my preferred method is to just roll them up, filter side down. I always add a square of masking tape about 2" below the filter patch.

Then they just pasteurize their bulk substrate with the pre-made spawn and they are good to go. Basically, you can cut out (or outsource) different sections of the mushroom growing process and spend you time focusing on other parts of it.
This cool weather mushroom grows in temperature ranges around 40-70F. Even for spores to germinate, the temps need to be down around the 45F-55F range to start the life cycle in nature. However spawn runs have been noted as high as 75F but spore germination and fruiting temperatures are always much lower, below 40F.
