Jan 06, 2010 · All jars were knocked up on the same day, from the same multispore syringe. I realize this isn't an isolate, but the results are pretty clear. The jars with the standard polyfil/tyvek lids are much father along than the one with the rubber innoc port and Whatman filter.

(adivse if you dont think it is) Method: I plan to use WBS for grain spawn. I will inoculate a few jars, use a few CCs for some LC, and possible even agar. I am trying to avoid having to buy more spores.

If you were to use a Syringe filter to inoculate, you would likely filter out much of the mycelium and block up the port but also introduce a good avenue for contamination to ‘wick’ through if that makes sense.
