All needles are sold individually with wholesale pricing available on large quantity purchases. Needle gauge sizes that we currently offer are 14 gauge, 16 gauge, and 18 gauge. The 16 gauge needles are the most popular and are recommended if you are making mycelium culture syringes, while the smaller 18 gauge needles are recommended if you are making mushroom spore syringes.

If you were to use a Syringe filter to inoculate, you would likely filter out much of the mycelium and block up the port but also introduce a good avenue for contamination to ‘wick’ through if that makes sense.

They get the generic name of "syringe filters" because they have a luer-lock and you can lock them onto a syringe to force your media through one.
