Jul 09, 2019 · the offset filter and offset injection port 180 degrees from each other makes it so you can fill a syringe without getting the filter wet, and you don't have to use a stupid whatman filter or over complicated lid setup. I currently just pour my LC into grain jars like a g2g transfer. skipping the unnecessary syringe step entirely.
Working quickly attach syringe filters to the centre holes and injection ports to the outer holes in each lid. Syringe filters should be used for liquid culture jars to reduce the likelihood of contamination. Micro pore tape is an excellent filter material on grain spawn jars due to the increased fresh air exchange.
