it was green mold and the source syringe was contaminated. I redid with better source obtained from etsy and they turned out fine. other things I did. I used a PTFE filter disc and or PTFE/PVDF syringe filter, 0.22um/220nm pore size, instead of micropore tape / polyfill. injection rubber port
