Sep 15, 2014 · Here's the lids I make. The lids them-self are readily available in the canning section in both sizes and I use an injection port and a syringe filter. They work great as the syringe filter breaths so no vacuum but keeps contams out.

If I get a really nasty, bad contam jar with a plastic lid, sometimes It's better to recycle it for another purpose. Like a lid for a jar of screws/nuts/bolts etc. lol. There are so many options for lids/holes.
