Still very fluffy on the top, but this time the myc going down the side looks even thinner, almost like a film of milk, and very unhealthy.

Even PTFE filters can somehow be either hydrophobic or hydrophilic, I have ran into syringe filters that said both with PTFE filters. PTFE is what you want to filter air. PES is designed to filter liquids; and it is not as sturdy nor as long-lasting.

They jars / lids / filters do go through a pressure cooker. Depending on the whether I'm doing liquid culture or a grain spawn, that means either 30 or 90 minutes at 15 psi.
