May 06, 2021 · Made LCs with syringe filter lids, siliconed so it’s air tight. Shook vigorously upside down to see if any liquid leaks, I believe it’s coming out of the syringe filter. It takes a lot of shaking to get liquid out. Should anything be coming through the syringe filter or is it just not supposed to be shaken that hard?

They're cheaper than whatman filters and since we're using these for gas exchange and not quality aqueous filtering they should do the job. I'd just curious if anyone has come across these or if they know what filter materials are good for sterilizing? I know agar mentioned and used the PES Whatman filters (polyproplyene)
