What is THE BEST ALTERNATIVE OPTION for GE? Polyfil, Micropore, Tyvek, etc?

Use injection ports, you can get 100 of the for like $10 on amazon. Then use tyvek, synthetic filter discs, micropore tape, etc. to make a filtered gas exchange. Heat a needle and penetrate the injection port while it is still hot - virtually no contaminations that way!
it will suck everything out of the syringe either keep a tight hold on the plunger of the syringe, or like 5-6 layer some micropore tape, place on the lid, and puncture thru that with a sterile object(but that kinda ) if you dont have any GE in your lids, its best to use them for transfers, instead of innoculations -----

May 12, 2009 · If you have micropore and a dry verm layer, take the micropore off. Use one or the other, or gas exchange will be hindered, that is probably why it is taking so long. You should never have to worry about if your incubator is opened or not. Most of the time i just let jars colonize on a plane shelf, they are exposed to light and smoke all day long.

I did some research into micropore and specifically all the crap that gets through. Never have a problem with grain jars but LC lasts about a month. Not very good at all. I think we'll be better off with the syringe filters and they are relatively cheap. Idk if any amateur like myself needs to read this but idk I thought I'd type it out.
