We recommend using a 5mm steel drill bit for jar lids when installing these filters.
Filter-Lab European manufactured PTFE (Teflon) syringe filters have a hydrophobic nature and very high chemical resistance. As a result these syringe filters not compatible with aqueous samples. If it is a gas that is being filtered, the kind of membrane to use must be PTFE.
