Mar 3, 2010 · I've used 0.2 micron, 0.3 micron and 0.45 micron (0.45um). I have never seen a spore or bacteria pass through either of the three and infect one of my cultures. Keep in mind that these are made to be used as syringe filters. Syringes use a plunger to FORCE air or fluid through these filters making it much harder for the filters to catch everything.
